As if we weren’t already hyped up about Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins, these new character posters are sending us into absolute overdrive!

Not only that, but an ‘original story’ featurette has also been revealed, giving us more insight into the new action movie and featuring Snake Eyes himself, Henry Golding (Crazy Rich Asians) and G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero comic book writer Larry Hama…

The film follows Snake Eyes, a tenacious loner who is welcomed into an ancient Japanese clan called the Arashikage after saving the life of their heir apparent. Upon arrival in Japan, the Arashikage teach Snake Eyes the ways of the ninja warrior while also providing something he’s been longing for: a home. But, when secrets from his past are revealed, Snake Eyes’ honor and allegiance will be tested – even if that means losing the trust of those closest to him.

Directed by Robert Schwentke (Allegiant), Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins also stars Andrew Koji (Warrior), Úrsula Corberó (Money Heist), Samara Weaving (Ready Or Not), Haruka Abe (Avenue 5), Tahehiro Hira (Yasuke) and Iko Uwais (The Raid).

Snake Eyes is exclusively in cinemas on 18 August from Paramount Pictures, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures and Skydance.
