Runaways Season 3 Story
Here’s the official synopsis courtesy of Hulu…
Marvel’s Runaways will return for its third and final season giving the fans what they’ve been waiting for. After evading corrupt parents, battling powerful aliens and coming face-to-face with the world’s most powerful sorceress, the conclusion to this epic saga will leave no stone unturned.
In an action-packed Season 3, the Runaways frantically search for their captured friends Chase, Gert, and Karolina. The kids go head to head with an unstoppable enemy who has targeted Leslie — or more accurately, the child she’s carrying. Nico draws them all into a dark realm where its ruler Morgan le Fay, played by Elizabeth Hurley, is much more nefarious than anyone the kids have yet to face.
Runaways Season 3 Cast
Runaways stars Rhenzy Feliz, Lyrica Okano, Virginia Gardner, Ariela Barer, Gregg Sulkin, and Allegra Acosta as six teens who join forces to stop their villainous parents, portrayed by Angel Parker, Ryan Sands, Annie Wersching, Kip Pardue, Ever Carradine, James Marsters, Brigid Brannagh, Kevin Weisman, Brittany Ishibashi, and James Yaegashi.
Elizabeth Hurley will play the villainous Morgan le Fay.
Runaways Season 3 Release Date
Runaways Season 3 will arrive on December 13th, just in time for Christmas.
Runaways Season 3 Episodes
Runaways Season 3 will get 10 episodes, which is down three from Runaways Season 2, but is on par with the Runaways Season 1 order.
“We are so excited to tell more Runaways stories and are so grateful to Marvel, Hulu, our amazing cast and crew and of course our passionate audience,” said showrunners/writers Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage Schwartz in a press release. “Season three will be a magical time on Runaways, as we deepen our connection to the Marvel universe. We are honored to continue to play in the sandbox created by Brian K. Vaughn and Adrian Alphona.”
Hold up. “Deepen our connection to the Marvel universe”? Is this just press statement hype or is this a hint that Runaways may become more integral to the larger MCU? I ask because, now that Marvel is consolidating its shows under one, large corporate umbrella, the company is a good place to make some intentional shared universe choices about its TV content.
