As a famous sorcerer once said, “We’re in the endgame now.” Better Call Saul wrapped up the first part of its sixth and final season on May 23 with a shocking cliffhanger that is guaranteed to drastically change the future of characters like Jimmy McGill and Kim Wexler. The series will be taking a short summer break before returning for its final string of episodes.
Speaking to The L.A. Times prior to the final run of episodes, series star Bob Odenkirk said: “It’s weird, because it sounds like maybe I’m pitching that Saul becomes this goodhearted, generous, caring person. I can’t tell you where he ends up, but it’s not like he has some revelation of humanity. I think he gets to … I think I’ve said all I can say. But I like where his journey ends. And I think you’ll like it too.”
We’ll be waiting on bated breath to see what becomes of Saul Goodman in these last six episodes, and we’ll be extra anxious to find out what exactly happens to Kim. There’s also a Lalo Salamanca situation that needs to be resolved. So when exactly will we be able to pick back up with Better Call Saul’s final episodes?
Better Call Saul Season 6 Part 2 Release Date
After taking some time off to enjoy Memorial Day weekend and the month of June, Part 2 of Better Call Saul season 6 will premiere on AMC and AMC+ with the release of episode 8 on Monday, July 11, 2022, at 9 p.m. ET. Following July 11, the show will adhere to a weekly release schedule, eventually coming to a close with Season 6 Episode 13 on Aug. 15, 2022.
Better Call Saul Season 6 Part 2 Plot
The first part of the final season concluded with a shocking character death that will likely leave Jimmy and Kim reeling. Lalo Salamanca is also back in their business, likely looking for aid in his war against Gus Fring and his plot to uncover evidence of Fring’s Super Lab. Based on what we know about Breaking Bad, something tells us Lalo will not be successful, but he’s such a wild card that perhaps the character will still surprise us.
Also, in the first part of season 6 we’ve yet to return to the present timeline and revisit “Gene” in Omaha as he prepares to deal with an individual that may have knowledge of his previous life. We will surely get at least one last glimpse of Gene before the story wraps, but other than that, your guesses are as good as ours.
We’ll all know the fate of Gene/Saul/Jimmy when Better Call Saul wraps up, starting in July.
