Check out this sneak peek into the book with our gallery here…
Created by Gerry Anderson (Thunderbirds, Joe 90, Stingray, Terrahawks, Captain Scarlet) Space: 1999 was the hit Seventies TV show starring Martin Landau and Barbara Bain. Set on Moonbase Alpha, a scientific research centre on the moon, Space: 1999 follows its 311 inhabitants after a thermonuclear explosion blasts the Moon out of Earth’s orbit, sending it hurtling on an interstellar journey.
Space: 1999: Moonbase Alpha Technical Operations Manual contains incredible new content, including 224 new CG images of interiors, exteriors of MBA, craft, gadgets, uniforms, and more, brought to you by Anderson Entertainment. It also includes contributions by scientific experts including Phil Plait and Dr David Parker from the European Space Agency.
In addition to the hardback, fans will also be able to pre-order an exclusive limited hard case edition with extra Space: 1999 goodies including a Travel Tube map, ID card, Radiation Detector, Anti-radiation pills, and an individually numbered letter from the desk of Commissioner Simmonds. Only 311 of these have been produced (the same number of inhabitants on Moonbase Alpha).
