Blade Runner 2049: Interlinked – The Art

Blade Runner, Blade Runner 2049, Books

Blade Runner 2049 had a lot riding on it. A sequel to Ridley Scott’s legendary, ground-breaking Blade Runner, director Denis Villeneuve had a lot of pressure when returning to the breathtaking world of the original. Luckily, the sequel continued the legacy of the 1982 sci-fi classic, creating a stark and detailed vision of the future.

Following a young blade runner replicant’s (Ryan Gosling) discovery of a long-buried secret, Blade Runner 2049 took audiences on a journey to track down former blade runner Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford back in the iconic role), who’s been missing for 30 years.

Now, fans can have an unprecedented look into the creative process that went into making the movie with Blade Runner 2049: Interlinked – The Art. This stunning art book illustrates how Villeneuve and his team took Scott’s 1982 movie as a starting point and expanded the world by creating a new visual language infused with the original Blade Runner DNA.

The world originally created by Scott (and lovingly continued by Villeneuve and his team) is a fascinating place for sci-fi fans and we’re delighted to offer a sneak-peek into Tanya Lapointe’s Blade Runner 2049: Interlinked – The Art published by Titan Books right here…
