In a flurry of recent announcements by the new streaming service Max (previously known as HBO Max), it has now been announced that a new Harry Potter TV series has been ordered!
Check out the announcement here…
We know barely anything about the new series except that this is the first-ever Harry Potter scripted television series that has been ordered and that it will “be a faithful adaptation of the iconic books”.
What we do know is that Max has a good record with adapting TV shows, after the recent success of its The Last Of Us series, starring Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey, which is currently at a 96% average on Rotton Tomatoes (check out our review here).
The other obvious point is that we currently do not receive HBO as a streaming service in the UK, so we don’t know when we’ll be getting the TV show and on what service – usually HBO series like The Last Of Us and House Of The Dragon have been shown on Sky and Now TV, so watch this space!
HBO Max will be replaced by ‘Max’ on 23rd May.
