News, The Lord Of The Rings: The Rings Of Power, TV

With episodes of the second season of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power currently shooting, we’re slowly getting dribs and drabs of information about Prime Video’s upcoming series. The latest is that Ciarán Hinds, Rory Kinnear, and Tanya Moodie will all be joining the cast in recurring roles for Series Two.

Ciarán Hinds has most recently been seen in Kenneth Branagh’s Belfast, though us genre TV fans will probably know him best for playing Mance Rayder in Game Of Thrones and John Franklin in the horror anthology series The Terror.

Rory Kinnear has also been added to the cast list, coming off the back of his portrayal as, well, all of the men in Alex Garland’s creepy horror, Men (read our interview with Kinnear here about how that all came about).

The last piece of casting announcement is that Tanya Moodie will also be joining the series. Moodie is no stranger to genre, having played Agatha Wilson in fantasy series A Discovery Of Witches, and more recently in the TV adaptation of The Man Who Fell To Earth, which is out on Paramount+.

There’s no word on who Hinds, Kinnear and Moodie will be playing just yet but be sure to head back here for all up-to-date information on the second series.

The Lord Of The Rings: The Rings Of Power Season One is available to stream on Prime Video.
