What awaits us once we die? It’s a question that Joel Schumacher (The Lost Boys, St. Elmo’s Fire) tackled in his 1990 movie Flatliners, which followed five ambitious students subject themselves to a daring experiment to answer that very question and temporarily induce their own deaths, hoping to glimpse the afterlife before being brought back to life.
Now, thanks to Arrow Video, Flatliners is having a new life of its own with a 4K UHD Blu-ray release, complete with a whole bunch of new behind-the-scenes looks at the making of the movie. To celebrate, we have an exclusive clip from the release taken from a new interview with the writer Peter Filardi, who discusses the young a-list cast at the time and, indeed, with a cast including Kiefer Sutherland, Kevin Bacon, Julia Roberts, it really was an impressive cast!

The new edition includes a brand new 4K restoration from the original negative, approved by director of photography Jan de Bont, a brand new audio commentary by critics Bryan Reesman and Max Evry plus much more!
