FrightFest 2022: SciFiNow hosts screening of Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead sci-fi thriller

Competitions, Events, Fright Night remake

SciFiNow fans and FrightFest gang unite! This year we’re teaming up with those ghoulishly great folk over at the Arrow Video FrightFest horror festival to get the lowdown on all the best in genre. Not only will we be bringing you reviews fresh from the festival (see our top picks here) but we are hosting a SciFiNow screening of the UK premier of Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead’s sci-fi thriller, Something In The Dirt.

From the incredible line-up at this year’s FrightFest, we couldn’t resist hosting the screening of Something In The Dirt as not only are we big fans of Benson and Moorhead, the pair who brought us 2018’s The Endless and last year’s excellent Synchronic (not to mention episodes of Moon Knight and Loki), but their latest gathers the perfect mix of DIY sci-fi, drama, dark comedy and mystery – with a little bit of physics thrown in too!

Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead (pictured above) will be in attendance at this year’s Arrow Video FrightFest…

Benson and Moorhead star as neighbours John and Levi in Something In The Dirt, who witness supernatural events in their Los Angeles apartment building. Realising documenting the paranormal could inject some fame and fortune into their wasted lives, they open up an ever deeper, pitch-black rabbit hole…

Something In The Dirt is a personal DIY sci-fi with pre-apocalyptic vibes.

The UK Premier of Something In The Dirt will take place at FrightFest on the Arrow Screen at 10.30am and Shudder Screen at 11am and not only will Benson and Moorhead be there to answer SciFiNow’s probing questions, but you can be there too with our latest competition!

We have THREE pairs of tickets to give away to There’s Something In The Dirt at the Shudder Screen at 11am on Saturday 27 August. All you have to do is answer the question below to be in with a chance of winning a pair…
