Star Wars: The Clone Wars season 7 tells the stories that showrunner Dave Filoni never got to tell during the show’s original run, which came to an end in 2014. The new and final season consists of 12 episodes, covering arcs previously alluded to in Star Wars lore but never released in final form on the small screen.
“The Bad Batch” arc covers a mission to rescue missing clone trooper Echo from the Separatists, while “Ahsoka’s Walkabout” explores what Anakin’s former apprentice got up to after leaving behind the Jedi Order. But the big arc of the season is “The Siege of Mandalore,” a final showdown between the Republic and Maul’s Mandalorian forces that ties into the events of Revenge of the Sith!
Created by George Lucas, the show first aired in 2008. It followed the adventures of Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Padmé Amidala while introducing major new characters like Jedi Padawan Ahsoka Tano and Captain Rex. The Clone Wars also brought fan-favorite Darth Maul back from the dead. The series was loved by many fans to say the least.
