The Wolf Among 2 has been resurrected and will shockingly still be developed and released.
This is a bizarre story, so stick with us. As you may recall, Telltale revealed The Wolf Among Us Season 2 a long time ago. However, when Telltale was shut down as part of a long and ugly process, they seemingly took The Wolf Among Us with them. That is until the Telltale Games brand was re-opened under new management. It’s that new Telltale Games that has confirmed they are resurrecting and publishing The Wolf Among Us 2.
As an added bonus, the game will reportedly be co-developed by AdHoc Studio: a new studio that was formed by former Telltale employees. Telltale’s new management is seemingly excited by both this game’s revival and the chance for AdHoc to work on the project.
The Wolf Among Us is one of the most beloved titles in the Telltale catalog, so we are thrilled to announce that development on Wolf 2 has again started and assure all of the series’ fans that it is in good hands,” says Jamie Ottilie, the CEO of LCG Entertainment/Telltale via a statement. “Partnering with AdHoc Studio enables us to work with many of the key creative and development talent from the original Wolf series while strategically growing the new Telltale.”

Given the amount of original talent that is returning to the game, it feels safe to say that The Wolf Among Us 2 will end up being the game that we were probably going to get anyway. It will even reportedly be released in an episodic format, and it will still serve as a sequel to the original Wolf Among Us, which does make it a prequel for the Fables comics themselves.
There’s no release date available for The Wolf Among Us 2, and you shouldn’t expect to see it anytime soon considering that it’s still in the pre-production phase.
